Castle Freak is a Stuart Gordon directed film which is quite good with some of the best acting Jeffrey Combs (Re-Animator) has ever done. He plays a recovering alcoholic who, long after an accident which killed his little son and left his daughter blind, inherits a beautiful 12th century castle in Italy. The family plans to sell the castle and everything in it. Unfortunately, the family is fragmented, with his bitter wife (Barbara Crampton) unable to forgive him. As they spend the first night in the place, John hears a wailing cry from deep within the old place. Rebecca hears things too, but nobody believes her that someone else is in the ancient home. You see, not only have they got the place, they also have a family secret named Giorgio, a boy kept in a cell down below! Pretty soon, a drunken John brings a hooker home for some drinks down in the wine cellar. He screws her while Giorgio watches, enthralled! She never makes it out of the castle because she is dragged down to Giorgio's old cell for a little fun. This brings the cops to the front door the next day, looking for her. John's arrested eventually for her murder but he swears that Giorgio is still alive, not buried, and moving about the castle, which makes the cops very angry. They think he's lying. Watch this film for the great conclusion; only by the great Full Moon Entertainment!
