The first Puppet master was put out in 1989 by Full Moon. The story is about a puppet maker, Andre Toulon, who has infused his puppets with life! The Nazis, lusting after the secret knowledge that Toulon has, seek to get it from him at any cost. Before they can get his secrets, he blows his own head off after hiding his puppets in a wall of the inn he's staying in. Ha, ha, Nazis! What would characters from horror movies be without a few Nazis thrown in?!?
Jumping ahead 50 years later, a bunch of psychics come to the inn where Andre Toulon killed himself in the hopes of discovering the secret of life and instead find death in the form of five killer puppets who do their best to kill every one of them. The original five puppets are Jester, Tunneler, Ms Leech, Pinhead, and Blade. All have different abilities. Jester is the leader of the group. Tunneler has a spinning drill bit type cone on the top of his head to bore into his victims. Ms Leech spits up leeches that drains the blood out of people. Pinhead has a small head and a large body but is very strong. Blade has a hook for one hand and a blade on the other for slicing and dicing!

The rest of the movies have various plots, but always introduce a new puppet to go along with the rest. In Puppet Master 2, It's a flamethrowing Torch. In number 3, it's Six-Shooter. In number 4, it's Decapitron. Number 5 has all the puppets teaming up against other really bad puppets. You may notice that the puppets are evil in the first two films, but gradually become positive characters from horror movies. In film 3, they battle the Nazis! Some would argue that Toulon's creations are ALWAYS evil, they just pick and choose their battles. If you enjoy killer puppets, nude women, and blood, then come along for the ride and see the movies!!
