Demonic Toys is another Full Moon production that I enjoyed. Some people don’t like Full Moon films and call them “cheesy” and “gory”. Well, most horror films on average are cheesy and gory. It’s par for the course! Horror always has these elements most of the time: naked chicks, gore, cheese, and stupid people who just can’t get out and get away from the monster who’s walking so slow that surely they can out-run them, can’t they?!?! So, no more of these reviews (from other, well known websites) about cheese and gore from reviewers that seem disappointed that they SEE gore and cheese. Hahahaha! What do they expect, an Oscar winning film?! Give me a break.
In this Full Moon film, evil toys are running amok, trying to harvest souls for a very old demon who wants to be born. A cop (Tracy Scoggins) is trapped in a toy warehouse along with her prisoner, a security guard, a fast food guy, and a runaway girl. What a combo! It seems that Judith Gray, (Scoggins) has been having some weird dreams with two kids playing the “War” card game. Well, one of them is the demon that wants to take over the soul of her unborn child and take his place in her womb, in essence, being born as her child. As evil as the demon is in his child form; the real stars of this film are the toys! There’s a pissed off bear, a maniacal little baby doll who’s rhetoric goes like this: (talking to the security guard) ”Hi you fat fuck! I’m baby Oopsie Daisy. You lard ass! Will you be my special friend? I can walk, I can talk. I can even shit my pants! Can you shit your pants? Playtime! (Baby grabs the guard’s gun, and shoots.) Nice! There’s a crazy clown with real sharp teeth who’s wild laughter is classic! There’s also a robot with a dead on aim with his laser blasters. The evil demon is controlling them all, bidding them to do his dirty work. As people in the small group die, he gets stronger. Ultimately, it’s up to cop Judith Gray to get out of the warehouse and away from the demon, but she can’t do it alone! Thankfully, help comes from unexpected places! If toys freak you out, check out Demonic Toys for the laughs and the “OMG that was sick” gore!
