Dracula AD 1972 Trailer
Dracula AD 1972 is a good film simply because it has two horror legends in it: Christopher Lee, and Peter Cushing. They reprised their roles as Dracula and Van Helsing, making this Dracula meets 20th century, 1970's culture clash a watchable vampire movie, even though the ground had been covered by them many times before. I cringed at the 70's clothing (yes, I had plaid pants, bell bottoms, and the crappy paisley shirts, and yes I hated those clothes even then), the big afros, beads, and the striving by the "hip" young adults to get as "freaky" as possible. I was glad when Dracula started to pick them off! Of course, the sublime acting by Cushing, as Van Helsing, really is good acting. The guy was a master! This is Hammer Horror at the end of the trail, but still good in my mind. Go, Dracula, go!
