The Hellraiser Inferno film has a moral to the story it's trying to tell, but you have to wait until the very end to see it. In this one, Pinhead seems like a God figure in his proclamations to the slowly going insane Detective Joe Thorne. I kept waiting for Pinny to break out some hooks and a can opener or something on some victims but it just doesn't happen! This is one of the least gory Hellraiser films and I wonder why in the world it deserved an R rating?! Anyway, the Detective is not really a dirty cop; he just has a few bad habits like a coke and hooker habit. He has a very pretty wife and young daughter at home that he pretty much ignores. He spends the night at a hotel with a hooker that ends up being hung like a piece of meat in the shower after he leaves. The strange thing is that she calls him on the phone at the cop shop while the murder is happening! Things start to dissolve for the cop after that. He spends his time obsessing and searching for The Engineer, a person that the detective suspects of murdering not only the hooker, but his ice cream truck driving informant, Bernie, and his partner, Tony. He tries to piece this all together, all the while seeing these faceless entities with just a mouth for an expression. Watch Pinhead get sanctimonious at the end of this film as he explains what the Detective's sins are. Be prepared for a real mind rape!
