Zombies start to rise and walk in Thorsby, Alabama, clashing with the small town Southern pace of life. Some of the annoyed townsfolk: Chuck, the local video store owner/slacker who likes his booze and ballgames, Keith, the president of Thorsby's gun club, Barbara, the 911 dispatcher at the local cop shop, plus a dude who owns a 1964 1/2 Ford Mustang that gets totaled by an alien spacecraft. Did I mention that he gets anally probed by the aliens and wakes up in a tree bare-assed naked? That's just some of the dainty delights in this film! The Southern way is for the good old boys to take care of their own problems and that they do! Rednecks blasting zombies in the woods; what could be better?! How about naked stripper-zombies? In all honesty, the zombie make-up is poor in Hide And Creep. I imagine the budget was small, but getting some of those zombie contacts that cloud over the eyes would've made a huge difference in the appearance of the zombies! On a positive note, the script was funny. I didn't have to try and laugh, I was easily laughing and grinning. This is a good zombie comedy, with a lot of dry humor that works well. I can imagine how much better it would've been with a richer bankroll. Low budget, low brow, but well written. Check it out!
