High Tension or Switchblade Romance, as it's known in the UK, is a mind screw of the highest order! Switchblade, hell; the killer in this film will use anything to knock off his victims, knives, axes, heavy wardrobes, shotguns, or what looks like a concrete cutting saw!! When two college girls, Marie, and Alex, go to stay at Alex's family, all hell breaks loose as a killer in a crappy green meat machine invades their home and kills the entire family with only Alex surviving and Marie evading the murderer. Luckily for the completely chained up Alex, Marie gets shut in with her for the ride to wherever the butchering station is. Armed with only a big kitchen knife, Marie makes the best of it, evading, escaping, and monitoring the murdering sob at stops along the way. She's got to save Alex! The killer's got big plans for Alex and fighter Marie has big plans for him! I can't say too much because this movie has twists and turns that will chill the marrow in your bones. This horror film is not a typical slasher with horny teens; it's heavy duty! It will grab you by the throat and not let go! Prepared to have the crap scared out of you!
