If anybody wants to see just how big the collectible world is can go to Ebay at any given time and see pages of stuff. Not all things are good collectible items, though. You have to have quality, and that's where this company steps in and demolishes and commands the arena of horror action figure collectibles. The company is called Sideshow Collectibles, a premiere collectible company with it's own artists that design 12", 14", 1/4 scale, and high dollar premium format horror action figures with detail so good, you won't wonder why you're shelling out $50.00 and up for the Jason or Universal Classic Monster Wolfman figures!

Some of the horror action figures are flexible and some are polystone and rigid and have accessories, like machetes or tree trimmers obviously not used for trimming branches! These items aren't cheap molded plastic; they have real clothing! Most have stands to mount them on and others have heavy bases like the "London After Midnight" Lon Chaney figure. He's mounted on a paved stone street portion which definitely fits creepy old London town. This guy is 18" tall and weighs 11lbs, no lightweight! At $225.00 smacks, the heavy feeling touches your pocketbook too. That's ok because a good choice is Sideshow's FlexPay option, which breaks up the payment over a couple of months so you won't get socked so bad.

A lot of the figures are numbered and limited! When you look at their website, you'll even see that they are sold out!! One cool thing is the Retired product page of items no longer made by or for Sideshow Collectibles. Whatever they have in stock there is it...boom, boom, once they are sold, it's over! Last time I looked, there were a lot of Lord Of The Rings figures there waiting for an owner. Need a Gollum figure, my precious? He's there too!

My favorites are the horror action figures, but the whole range is there: sci-fi, Planet Of The Apes, Rambo, Scarface (cool!), Simpsons, for crying out loud, lol, Military figures, Bond...James Bond, Matrix, Star Wars...the list goes on and on!
