Jolly Roger Massacre At Cutters Cove was not a great horror movie, but neither was it a really bad horror movie. Hey, I've seen a lot worse! This movie never lagged in spots at all, thanks to Jolly Roger's sword slashing, head cutting murders! A treasure chest washes up on a beach where some teens are drinking a few beers and engaging in pre-marital sex (hard to believe, I know!). One dude notices it and opens it up, finds an old skull in there and whips it into the ocean. The next thing you know, Jolly Roger is reborn, pissed, and cutting heads off for his collection. He wipes the whole beach teens out except for two that escape and eventually do some internet research and figure out Jolly's plan. It seems he's murdering all the town descendents of the original pirate crew that screwed him over and stole his gold. When he gets 16 heads in his chest, he'll get his gold back. The gore doesn't disappoint here. Jolly relishes his job, chopping off each head with glee, as well as shooting people with his musket while muttering pirate-speak like "you scurvy dog", "ar, ar, ar", "rum", and "wench"! Ha ! Ha! Corny! I loved this movie and give it an A+ for effort and its fast slashing ways.
