Jungle Holocaust reminded me of Planet Of The Apes except in this movie, there are no apes, only cannibals and primitive tribes that get scared of helicopter noise. This movie was shocking, with brutal scenes of cannibalism amid the daily life of living in a jungle stone age! The cannibals prepare a body like we go about carefully preparing a steak to toss on the grill. This story documents how Robert Harper went into a jungle a civilized man and came out a savage! He had to, to survive the madness he goes through. As the group he travels with gets killed one by one, he finds he's left, with no way to survive, eat, drink, or get out of the jungle that looked so pretty from the airplane. Pretty soon he's captured, abused, and weakened by the lack of food and water. If not for the help of Pulan, one of the better looking native girls, he'd die. After realizing he's to be bait for the alligators the natives eat, he escapes with Pulan as his hostage only to find out that their troubles have really just started because of the cannibal tribe that has picked up their trail!
