Texas Chainsaw Massacre The Next Generation: After prom, four teens take a detour through the woods and get in a car accident. Three go in search of help while one stays behind with an injured man. At a farmhouse, two of the teens find a sadistic family, while the other teen gets help from an insurance agent who isn’t as nice as she seems. This film seems to have little continuity with the previous three films. The only character from the other movies is Leatherface, who is now a cross-dresser. But the plot is very similar to the first film, with the meat hook, the chainsaw, the sledgehammer, and the family dinner. Matthew McConaughey stars as the most sadistic member of the family and Renee Zellweger is the victim, both giving good performances before they were famous. -*Melissa Helwig
