The Mummys Hand follows The Mummy, although it's not sinister like the original with Karloff. This movie has a comical feel to it with expedition leader Steve, his goofy buddy Babe (Wallace Ford), and The Great Solvani, a bumbling magician. Steve and Babe almost remind me of a watered down Abbott and Costello. The two are in Egypt, down on their luck when Steve buys a vase that describes Ananka's tomb. They meet a magician who funds the expedition and hopes to gain some wealth. Of course, the whole expedition is being watched closely by Professor Andoheb, High Priest of Karnak who's job is overseer of the tomb and the mummy Kharis. As the group finds the tomb and enters it, dreadful things start to happen, namely murder. It's up to Steve, Babe, Dr. Petrie, The Great Solvani, and his pretty daughter Marta to figure out what's going on!
