One great actor that the movie The Prophecy has in it is Christopher Walken, a guy I've been watching in the movies since The Deer Hunter way back in 1978. The guy is smooth with a sinister underlayment to him, at least in the movies! He does well here as the angel Gabriel, come to earth in search for a special soul to help him with Heaven's ongoing war that won't end until he gets it. Stacked against him on the good guy side is a former priest turned detective, a schoolteacher, Simon (another angel), and believe it or not, the devil aka Lucifer (Viggo Mortensen)! When Simon (Eric Stoltz) hides the soul in a little girl, Gabriel spends the movie stalking her. Gabriel has some funny one liners throughout the movie! Chris Walken chews the scenery like the pro that he is and over delivers!
