ChainSaw Massacre

by Patrick Smith
(Pascagoula/MS/United States of America)

It's a terrible movie. Movies like it make our young people violent and mentally unstable. It's no surprise that shootings happen in schools.

Not only that, it's illogical. Try cutting up a doll with clothes on with a chainsaw. Nothing stops a chainsaw more then a rag/clothing. You couldn't possible kill someone with a chainsaw.

However, the Exorcist is a great movie. Not only because it is extremely realistic but also true. There are many more people then people realize who are possessed by the Devil.

Jaws is also a good movie. Not worth watching but still a good movie.

The rest of the movies are pure junk meant only to horrify and disgust the viewers. Don't watch them. They aren't healthy.

i enjoyed the movie myself it was suppose to be based on a true story all i know it scared me but then again i was young when i first seen it didnt care much for the other chainsaw massacre movies they came out with after the first one more of a comedy than scary, but i can say this after watching horror movies or anyother violent movies or games it sure didnt make me wanna go out and shoot anybody or chop anybody up or anything like that but it does boggle the mind that people wanna blame violent movies or games cause kids do what they do. guess we gotta blame somebody

Under rated

There is no scientific link between violent films and violence in human beings and if you're going to say people might copy this, I think you'll find that several more murders have been copied from books, so if you're going to ban films or make sweeping generalizations you can ban graphic books as well as films. Sorry, certain things agitate me.

Anyway it's a landmark film for make up and special effects and still holds its own as a 'scary film' but other than that there's not much substance to this film. It's good, but its no Jacobs ladder.

Although psychologically speaking this film is highly under rated and if you look a little deeper it becomes even darker than it already is and it is this which makes the film scary.

Gore fiends will love this movie.

This is absolutely one of the most disgusting movies ever made. And I'm not really a big fan of it. But it's a good one if you're into really disgusting horror films!
