HELP??

HELP??

Can anyone remember a horror film about a dog that falls down a well or a hole and when the townspeople go down after it, one of them screams in terror at what he sees down the hole? It was like the well/hole was maybe a portal to hell?? I haven't seen this in decades, but I am trying to figure out the name.

got it! avail on dvd - & narrated by rod serling! maybe knew that subconsciously as a kid - but makes sense - 3 tales of "true" stories in one film - "the hell pit" - so horrifying - esp as a kid watching that alone on a rainy saturday afternoon - !!

will get back to u if i find out - think it was a film which had a bunch of shorts - definitely early 70's - used to air on matinee horror tv shows pretty frequently along with many others (like legend of boggy creek) i mention that since i believe this one tried to present itself as "true stories" as well - dog hunts rabbit, falls down well, whines, master comes to retrieve it, with the help of others is lowered into pit (more of a strange hole in ground than well), screams, and when's he's pulled back up, he's lost his mind . . . totally horrifying!!
