Rabies??

I read an article once where a doctor was given his medical files, but without a name on them, and told to diagnose the patient. After a lot of medical work and digging, the doctor's diagnosis was Rabies. Apparantly Poe was not making much sense in the hospital, had a thirst that could not be abated, and was actually having some foaming at the mouth! No idea how he got it, but roaming the streets drunk or ill is a good way to get bit by an infected animal. |
