SCARY NEW GIRLFRIEND

My mother passed in 03. My brother had a new girlfriend about 2 wks; she came to the funeral. When we got out of the limo, she ran up and took pictures! She had a flash Polaroid. We were too grief stricken to utter a word. She convinced some of my brother’s friends to pose by the limo and yes, they did the “prison pose” bending at the knee, hand on chin. If that wasn’t the worse, during the viewing, she walked up to the casket and snapped pictures of my mom, who she never met. (We were) too stunned to stop her. After the funeral, she gave my brother the pictures of his friends, but not of my mom; she probably has them to this day. Stupid brother took months to break up with her…no surprise; she stalked him and he had to file a restraining order.

Thanks for adding your story! (Nice One!) Oh yes, taking pictures of loved ones in the casket, to me, is horrifying!! The closest I ever got to that was my Aunts taking pictures of their mother and brother's headstones, which I thought was creepy, and spoke volumes...more about them then the deceased. Perhaps somebody disagrees with me on that one, but for me, nothing is more pathetic then the camera at a funeral.
